Algebra
Algebra is math with symbols, the letters that represent values often x.
Algebra was made by Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi,

While Algebra was found in ancient texts from Babylonia and India, it lacked proofs and
support for theories like the quadratic formula. However advanced math was shown as far
back as the BCs.

Algebra similar to todays wasn’t made until the Scientific Revolution by Rene Descartes.
Some famous mathematicians who developed algebra were Diophantus,Aryabhatta, and

Brahmagupta.
Diophantus(between 200-300): Arguably the other father of algebra,Diophantus recognized
fractions as numbers and used algebraic symbols and notations
Aryabhatta(476-550): Aryabhate found the squares and cubes of integers as well as the sum of n
integers. He even contributed to Geometry by calculating the triangle and circle’s
area(calculated Pi!).Brahmagupta:(597-690): He helped make the arithmetic rules for zero and helped solve the
linear and quadratic equations.

Modern Uses of Algebra
Algebra is in almost every action from counting change to something as diverse as computer
science. For a kid it could be to find the proper price to sell your lemonade at a lemonade stand.
For an adult it could be used to do taxes or really anything involving mone
